SKT White

Poor theme, poor customization, it’s a year that is no longer updated.

Strongly not recommended.

The SKT white theme is my favorite theme, and the support is fast and very helpful.

Solved a minor issue in a matter of minutes.

Not sure what the intention of this was – but within the homepage sections you’ve written your own custom content filter, which is stripping out short code support.

A user reported an issue with our plugin, but after some bug hunting we were able to track it back to your theme – and a few functions you have written to generate the content on the front end (specifically on the homepage).

I’m not sure if this is a marketing ploy to try and upsell users to a pro vesion, or if you really just don’t want users to enter shortcodes on the homepage – but it seems to be causing some issues where users can not parse shortcodes inside of the WordPress editor of the homepage theme options sections.

Offending Function:
skt_white_the_content_format( $content );

Additional helper functions:

If anyone else comes across this and is looking to provide shortcode support inside of the homepage content areas, simply alter skt_white_get_the_content_format() to the following:

Pro Tip: Before you buy any theme, I would do some form of code audit (or at least research the author) – to ensure what you are paying for is up to date with the latest code standards and secure.

**Update – the developer has updated and fixed all the issues below and the template works great. Looks really good and clean and my client is now very happy. Thanks SKT.

The site is clean and looks okay, but open on a mobile device and it goes out of shape. The images stretch and the header title get squashed together.

Try it out, shrink the browser window if on a pc or open on a mobile device. The article images stretch etc.

I would give this 4 stars if this issues were fixed as it has all the other makings to be a good clean and sharp blog. Bummer.

I needed a bit of help removing the slider from the homepage, and Shri got in touch with me within 10 minutes with a solution!

Awesome plugin, decent upgrade price, excellent support.

If you need to remove your slider, do this:

Download a plugin named: simple custom css

and within its settings add this custom css:

.slider-main {display:none;}

White space would be removed.

Shri was very helpful with my question about a change to the header on my SKT White theme. I am a novice and was given very explicit instructions on how to make the PHP change. Great theme and support!

Hey, i love your theme, but i have a question, i want to add a calendar into a section, but when i paste the code generated by the plugin it only shows it whit a p tag, there’s a way to make this work? Thanks

Wow. These guys have done a really good job.

There is a learning curve involved, but the support helps to shorten it (most questions that I had were already answered somewhere on their forums). Also, the developer, Shri, is very good at getting answers back that work correctly (you might need to wait until the next day, but that’s all good, especially when you consider the low price of the Pro version).

I moved a lot of the code around and once you get the hang of it, it becomes even easier to do. Here’s what I did with it: Aquarium Maintenance Service in Alanta

This theme is great, doing almost everything I was looking for. Unfortunately it comes with very few documentation on its capabilities…

Also fairly difficult to use for somebody not HTML expert as the editor in the section part is fairly poor
