Swell Lite

Really nice design theme. I found this theme perfect for me.

I love this theme but…

I had a question about whether it is possible to change the link colors… I have since discovered this is a feature of the premium version, but the point is no-one replied to my question – it has been over a month now and it is still unanswered.

The support for the free version seems to have been withdrawn completely.

So this is really only a ‘free’ theme if you use it ‘as is’ or if you have enough programming know-how to make any required changes yourself.

It also shows the full posts on the posts page and I’m wanting to change it to show summaries (changing it in settings> reading doesn’t work). So I’m on my own now trying to figure out how to do that… or just switch themes.

This is a site I am creating for a friend so it isn’t worth it to me to pay $69 a year for support – better to switch to another theme (except now my friend has fallen in love with this one – well it IS beautiful)!

…if it is your main theme for your main website, and your happy to pay $69 each year for support then it is a very beautiful theme.

I love the Swell Lite theme! Besides being beautiful and relatively simple, it is absolutely perfect for my needs.

Of course after installing it, I found I wanted to tweak it a little. I found answers to most of my questions on the WordPress forum, but also from the old support page on the Organic Themes website (http://organicthemes.com/).

It was there that I found Rebecca, the superlative support person for Organic Themes and Swell Lite. I was very impressed with her quick response time when I emailed a question. (Because I am using the free version of the theme, I wasn’t sure I’d even hear back from anyone!) Rebecca’s expertise with this theme’s code is immediately apparent. Her help and suggestions are concise, to the point and very clear. It is a real joy to find a tech support person who is willing to go the extra mile to help. What an asset she is!

So now I happily have two websites running child themes of Swell Lite. Thank you for this wonderful responsive theme and your excellent support!

Hi, just starting to build a new website. added a new header image and logo, but they don’t appear on the home page. they look fine on the about page and sample page.

what am i doing wrong?

I am using this theme now and find it very easy to use with minimal leaning curve.
