More than one h1 tag. Not a good idea. Matt Cutts is now old school

I have spent a week slugging through the CSS of this theme to make simple changes like theme colors. They trap you in their Pro Version for that. Their support forum has been responsive but not overly informative. To move the Older Posts link they inform me would be a major undertaking. I did find a widget and other ways to display older posts.

I think they have way too much wasted space between each post and the sidebar but that is fixable with CSS. I also want to make the header picture less intrusive, Right now the default is too tall.

They initially told me to go through the hassle of creating a child theme for about a dozen CSS changes. I ignored them and just kept a copy of my changes if future Updates trash the Custom CSS File.

It’s been many years since I have messed with Wordress. Ever since the product ventur3ed toward a half-assed CMS system. It’s still bloated slow code and Litespeed Cache doesn’t help much.

I doubt I will buy their Pro Version but if I keep using their Theme I might donate a few bucks. Right now that decision is up in the air.

Hey zhekaus, yes, you are correct. I actually tend to use H3s more and H2’s very little, if any, strange I know, but it works. I was experimenting on my currency site called http://theiranianrial.net/ and had no issues even when just using one H1 tag and no H2’s or even H3’s. Just food for thought. – Nick

it’s wrong to use h1 more than once per page!

I’m really happy ent thanksfull for the great support I got. At the begining I had many problems with the Catch Theme Adventurous Pro but I got great friendly assistance and got solved all my problems.

I’m an adventurous pro user and now a big fan. It’s very handy for me to be able to adjust details through “theme options” property, which enables us to customize our websites hands down.

The key fact I must mention here is the unbelievably great support from the developers. They are quick in replying to us. What’s more, they are so kind and patient to answer our questions as much as they can.

I was a total noob about css. That’s why I asked some totally elementaly questions to them. Nevertheless, they taught me generously. I was right to purchase this theme; otherwise I was at a loss about how to make my own website from scratch.

This is your best bet worth the theme price.

I wanted the full-width layout so I did end up purchasing the theme, but not until I had tried the free theme for several days. The theme options are laid out well and are easy to use. I was able to answer about a dozen questions on my own just by cruising the online forums, and when I did ask questions, the answers came within a business day and were very detailed. I know it might take longer sometimes — I own my own business too and know that sometimes life gets in the way!

One negative review that I would like to address is regarding multiple h1 tags. The author gives a very good answer here: http://catchthemes.com/support-forum/topic/edit-the-h1-tag-for-site-title-h3/
