To build all web sites at the pixel exactly. More the 10 websites are all différents with the same theme.
Export the theme parameters and edit this file with notepad.
Then change the links for another theme and save it with an another filename of course.
By FTP upload the images (headers and img, aso…) and all others files you need to target them.
After that, activate the theme and adjust in case.
That’s it!

  • Still the best theme out there in 2017 By sharon-jackson, 2017-05-31 via wordpress.org

I love this theme. It is endlessly customizable. WordPress just does not like it because it does not fit THEIR “customize” system, it has its own. You can change 260+ things on this theme, it is not hard to learn, in fact I use it on 99% of every website I build.

I deeply resent that they no longer list this as a theme that I can choose but that I have to search for it and upload it independently. WordPress, you annoy me.

In my opinion, forcing developers to adhere to your customizer stifles innovation. What happens if someone else comes up with a vastly better system? But OH NO! you have to control the world. Very unhappy with you.

  • Upgrade debacle: 3.7.12 > 3.7.24 By csrollyson, 2015-12-11 via wordpress.org

I have used atahualpa for many years for several blogs, and I’ve customized it a lot. Wordfence screeched that I was out of date, so I upgraded from *12 to *24. Here is what happened:
-The entire header/menubars gone on home page, category list, blog posts
-header area but not logo showed on archive and tag pages
-Tag page warning: “array_rand() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in /home/rollyson/public_html/wp-content/themes/atahualpa/functions/bfa_header_config.php on line 276” . I found this but couldn’t figure out how to address it.
-all widgets gone, but I found them in the appearance/widget pages under inactive; all my sidebars were empty, so I dragged a couple into the sidebars, but these didn’t display consistently

In short, my website was “headless” for over a day and only a domain backup saved me; the back end wasn’t affected.

Related, I have tried many times to export settings under atahualpa export, but it never works; it returns a blank screen, so I guess I need to figure out how to use Cpanel or ftp to back up settings before upgrading.

Does anyone know what file(s) the settings file is supposed to export?

  • Atahualpa Disaster with WP Update By KFiddler, 2015-11-04 via wordpress.org

I have been using the Atahualpa theme for six years and have never had a single problem. I love it – easy to customize, simple to use. My story is the same as others that I have read in the forums – update to the new WordPress and it all goes to hell. First I had no site at all, no way to get in, no login page, etc. Today I have content but no header (which is where my paid adverts are) and widgets are all over the place, even ones I’ve never used.

I run a local community blog in Canada and am willing to pay for you to fix this to update the theme to work with WP. I have a very good computer guy working on this since last night and even he is baffled, but still trying. He is making a little bit of headway, but not much.

Can I please get some feedback on this? The adverts on my site (which have now all disappeared) give me quite a bit of extra money every month.

Thanks for your help in advance.

  • Updates cause lots of problems By greenreflection, 2015-08-25 via wordpress.org

I’ve been using this theme for years. Love the options menus and the flexibility and it is a very clean design. BUT…every time I update I have to reinstall the images for the header. It is really a waste of time when this function could be dealt with in the updating process to not reset the header.

Additionally, today, I updated to the latest version, knowing I was going to need to replace the images in the header. All of my widget areas disappeared! It was a nightmare (I had just spent two days redoing all of my sidebar widgets with new code). I got things back to working with backups, but this is ridiculous. And not one word from the developer as to what they are going to do about this reported problem. There have been many reports of the same issue with nothing being put forward as to a fix with a future update. So now i’m in a holding pattern until I either choose another theme or the developers get this updating fixed properly. I was a huge fan. Now I am totally disappointed. I’m tired of this theme wasting my time.

  • Highly customizable, but be careful By tommcgee, 2015-07-25 via wordpress.org

Updating the theme on our multisite installation takes a lot of care. Header images often disappear, and the last time all the widget areas were lost and had to be rebuilt. They appeared in a different section of the widgets screen under a heading that indicated that they were in widget areas that were no longer used. A bit of a headache to go through all the sites that use it to make repairs.

  • Out dated By 1000zen, 2015-04-25 via wordpress.org

My WP update to 4.1.2 crashed on Atahualpa 3.7.23
I had to fall back to a default WP theme and noticed how smooth the setup was.
At it initial release, Atahualpa was a great theme. Now it is out dated and there re so many theme available that are easier to setup and have great build in effects (like animated icons, google fonts, smooth scrolling etc)
Thank you Atahualpa, but it is time to say goodbye ….

  • Best theme ever By sharonejackson, 2015-02-25 via wordpress.org

I adore this theme. I use it 99.9% of the time. Hugely customizable and flexible with the best support forum and community I have ever seen. “Out of the box” it is not much to look at but when you check out the Showing Off pages you will be amazed at the variety of designs.

  • Nice theme! By Peter Vazquez, 2015-02-25 via wordpress.org

    Nice theme!

  • Nice theme, Nice customization, Atrocious Support By theashrussell, 2015-02-25 via wordpress.org

I like Atahualpa and the ease with which I can customize it — using their system, I am not skilled enough to make hard code changes, so it’s perfect for me — and I have been happy enough with the updates in the years I’ve used the theme. Unfortunately, with the most recent update, the developers have completely broken RSS feeds and have not yet issued an update thought it’s been more than a week and you can only get the patch to fix it if you’ve donated $20 to them.

I understand the labor that goes into building and updating a theme and have no qualms with their asking for donations or even pay, but to break something so severely with your update and then refuse to fix it without cash? That’s really, genuinely low.

For that reason, I cannot recommend the theme. I’ll be spending the next few days hoping to find an adequate theme and escaping these people. Don’t make my mistake.

  • Great vetrsatile theme By theleshall, 2015-01-25 via wordpress.org

Lost count of the number of sites I’ve built with this. Bit of a learning curve but once you get it it’s easy.

  • Not for the beginner and non programmer By Antonius, 2015-01-25 via wordpress.org

Hi have tried to change things like the menu and widgets but nothing happens. Seems like you either have to pay or be a programmer to get anything done.
