As I am an Author, I chose this theme to use. I like the clean visuals, as well as the menus on the sidebar, followed by the tag cloud. I’m not good at trying to figure out the differences in various themes, so like them to work with little input from me as to what to place where.

I like this theme. I use it for personal website.

As a blogger, Author has all the features and flexibility I need, while keeping a clean, distraction-free interface. Several questions to support regarding tweaks and changes have always been answered quickly and clearly. I can see my site using Author for a long time. 5 Stars.

Author is proper theme for academic staff and as the name bring in mind, “Authors”.
It is easy to use and understand and is simple to use.
The most amazing thing is the support! Ben responded me in regard with customization issues which normally expected for premium services, not free versions. I just wish the design of buttons to be more attractive.

Shortly after purchasing the Author theme, I realized I made an all-around right decision. Author provides a great layout, customization, and design. The developer also providers excellent customer service. He is able to answer all of my questions in a detailed, very timely fashion.

I spent a good half of my day sifting through WordPress themes trying to find something highly customizable, but still organized and with good bones. Most themes often overlook items users would like to have control over, like the background color of POSTS, and not just the sidebar and general background.

Not only does Poet (child-theme of Author) give me the layout I want, it gives me the customization I need, so I can keep my look consistent across different platforms (personal & business). The developers are also VERY helpful when it comes how & what to add for customized CSS snippets for controlling elements outside of the standards.

Let’s face it, “free” themes are limited, and some “paid” themes are overpriced and limiting. This theme is JUST RIGHT!

Downloaded it a few days ago, it’s looking good so far. Really happy with the simple design and customization. Good support too.
