Hemingway

The featured image never displays on the blog or the post pages. It will display in the header, which creates an unfortunate image as it slices horizontally through the middle, and most of my images are of people – and the result is either the nose and lips or the neck or other partial images – and the result is often blurry since the theme expands the image to 1280 pixels wide.

I used to use this theme. I tried it for a new site. It is not two-column.

Great theme, but after updating, it wasnt the same…
Cant change line heights, H1-H6 is impossible to change…

Beautiful, bold, clear and very easy theme to use. In general, its responsiveness is excellent, however, title cannot be a long word and pictures act funny on mobile devises if not carefully positioned on pages.

love this theme it is beautiful and works well i give it 5 stars but when asking for help you receive no response I really don’t want to switch my theme again but it’s looking like i may have no choice.

Just wondering why have a support forum if nobody responds?

I really like this theme as it looks good and is pretty simple to use for beginners. I am using it for the accompanying site to my (German) book for WP beginners. A few missing German translations can be easily fixed with the Loco Translate plugin.

It works perfectly. It is fast, simple, nice looking. Good job!

After using Hemingway Rewritten on WordPress.com, I wanted the same theme on my self hosted solution. I was happy to find Hemingway and after a slight tweak to make the title wrap properly, I can say I am 100% satisfied with my page now.

The Hemingway support forum community is very active and helpful.

I’ve built 2 websites with this theme and came away very satisfied with the results.

It displays very well on smaller devices, and you can customize it very nicely with the following 2 plugins:-

Page Builder by Site Origin and the widget bundle that goes with it, called Site Origin Widgets Bundle.

I recommend Hemingway as a theme you should try with your next project.
