I’m just getting into WordPress and I’ve been playing around with a few themes, but then I ran into Quark. Wow. Every feature of the theme works beautifully, and the theme is very easy to reconfigure.
Perhaps the greatest feature, other than the theme’s multiple options, is the commenting. Everywhere you look in the PHP and CSS you see nicely commented code and script. THANK YOU, Anthony, for those nuggets of gold you included which nicely explain exactly what the code is doing, and how to activate, or deactivate, the function or script. The WordPress learning curve is steep, but not impossible, with your help.

I had been searching for a building block for my sites, but could never find the perfect one – until now! It has plenty of features, but not too many, so there is no bloat, and it’s easy to customize. The customer service is top notch as well!

This is the best starter theme I’ve ever used. For my needs it’s almost exactly what I was looking for, with just a few alterations for personal taste. Highly recommended!

This is the best free responsive theme that I have tried, and am using it for one of my sites. I had to do minimal “getting into the head of the developer”. It makes sense. Great work!

I am a pre-html5, pre-css3, stubborn old lady. I wanted my site my way, but was stymied by the new technology. The theme’s author, ahortin, answered all my questions through the support forum, including information that gave me understanding how the system works. Thank you, ahortin!
The design of my site isn’t finished, but the things that I wanted that conflicted with the structure of the theme have all been done, so the remaining issues are all style. As ahortin says: no problem.

I’ve been using a few other responsive themes, but this, bar none, has been the easiest WP theme to make a site I’m working on responsive. There’s not a TON of options – but since I’m already a WordPress developer, I love that. There’s just enough to get you started, but not so many that you’re lost when it comes to customizing it.

simple and effective – great idea to choose widgets for all parts of the homepage, makes it very flexible.
I also like the straight forward design – no shadows, gradients ect…
