  • Sidebar Flows Below Footer in WordPress Twenty Thirteen Theme (WP 3.6) By Leesi Ebenezer Mitee, 2013-08-25 via wordpress.org

Today, I was quite excited to activate the WordPress Twenty Thirteen Theme (WP 3.6), but had to deactivate it immediately because the sidebar flowed below the footer on short pages. This was rather embarrassing.

I hope there’s a way out of this flaw, because the Theme promises to be a great improvement on previous themes by WordPress. I reverted back to WordPress Twenty Eleven Theme, which has no such problem.

I just visited the website of one of the reviewers below and found an example of this problem at http://amsyong.com/daftar-isi/

    It’s a serious flaw.

  • No Sidebar no toggle sub menus.. By seb-syd, 2013-08-25 via wordpress.org

It lacks the ability to choose different places for the sidebar.

This might have been intentional as perhaps the people that designed it only use Smartphones and didn’t see it necessary to create a responsive theme.

If they had followed their intent to design only for Smartphones a submenu hide and show would have been good. I know not hard to add.

For Smartphones and smaller tablets this theme is excellent, thank developers for all your efforts, I really appreciate the work.

    Thanks

  • Too Clever By RDBerge, 2013-08-25 via wordpress.org

Twenty Thirteen is a very clever theme. Clever in the aspect that the to make the changes I want, such as a category page that shows a thumbnail image of the featured image on the left side and an excerpt of the post has as of this review not been completed. Those who created the theme got clever. Which means spending countless hours figuring out just what changes in the child theme has to be done to get the changes I want.

I’ve made some changes, but my goal was content. Not fixing another theme because the creators of it decided to get clever. It’s annoying. It’s like they didn’t want changes to be made which defeats the whole purpose of WordPress.

  • Just could not customise it. By guppydas, 2013-08-25 via wordpress.org

I might be slow and the fact is I am not a programmer.

However having used WordPress for so long, the single most feature of customising the theme seems to be out of the window. This was disappointing.

I will give it a few more months to see if it improves. In the meantime, I am reverting to Twenty Twelve. This is for the first time in my relation with WordPress that I am so grossly disappointed.

  • awful By EveLba, 2013-08-25 via wordpress.org

I don’t like this theme at all!

  • Black Twenty Thirteen By FrediWP, 2013-08-12 via wordpress.org

Trying to get my head around it

I’ve got something with black and I think I nailed it. Awesome flow and easy to adjust.
