  • Bugs By VISIAN, 2016-05-12 via themeforest.net Too many bugs in recent version, not just surround Visual Composer but also other things. Bug reports related support should be free. I don't think I should pay 40 dollars to report bugs and hear if they plan to fix them or not.
  • Bugs By ryance85, 2016-05-12 via themeforest.net I've owned this theme now for over a year been using it fine since release. The last 6 months have been a disaster with finding little issues and bugs, sometimes I think the issue is that things are " too customizable" in which it turns out to be a nightmare adjusting little things to fit perfectly etc etc . They make their own demo content look AWESOME but to achieve that kind of look you pretty much need to be art bees them selves. Custom Bakery Visual composer - NO THANKS , especially when working with other short codes it can create unexpected results. Then try contacting them it takes about 2 days to verify you've been giving them their fair share of cash for support. Not interested in genuinely helping but rather saying things work " fine " and it's always the user never their code .... Their implementation of piracy control and dummy content upload , imagine the time spent to make that all work , then activation of custom Visual composer etc, all that time to make sure their product isn't stolen and hardly any time spent looking at compatibility issues. Stingy developers with only their best interests at heart . Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

Mainly because updating from v1 to v2 and later on from v1 to v3 completely didn't work... And I still think the theme is way over-kill, but it does look nice and has a lot of options built in. Mysteriously the update worked now. At least on one of the two sites. And that (so far) only locally on DesktopServer... Let's hope it works for the other one as well and I think it should work on the live server. So yeah, since I am a fair person, I have to revise my rating and in concliusion I can recommend it, if you need a full blown theme with tons of options. I personally work with much leaner setups by now but there's no budget to convert the two sites to my current tool set. I am just happy that I seem to be able to update this now, because as after updating to WordPress 4.5.2 the Visual Composer part of THE.KEN 1.0 stopped working, which would have meant rebuilding the two sites on my own dime...
