We had to follow a very strict recipe to get Tempera just right. We started with a very solid framework of over 200 settings, added a very light user interface, threw in a couple of mobiles and tablets to give it that responsive elasticity, added over 50 fonts, weren't satisfied so we poured all the Google fonts into the mix, then scattered 12 widget areas for consistency, dissolved a slider and unlimited columns into a customizable Presentation Page then mixed it in as well. We then sprinkled all post formats, 8 layouts including magazine and blog, powdered 40+ social icons and even blended in a customizable top bar for extra density. We also made it translation ready and gave it RTL language support for some cultural diversity. The secret ingredient was love and we might've spilled too much of that. But now Tempera has just the right feel and the right texture and is exactly what your empty WordPress canvas needs. NEW! Tempera now comes in 16 different flavors with preset color schemes!

    This and Parabola (also by same tame) are among my favorite free themes. Used it for many sites. Not too buggy, and it’s pretty and versatile. There are a ton of customization options and they’re very easy to implement.

    I particularly like the ability to customize the width of the main columns with an easy draggable interface. I also like that hovering over the colors in the color customization section tells you how each color is used. I appreciate these details.

    I tried about 20 themes before stumbling on this one. It’s completely free and uncrippled, though I will be donating, and has an excellent settings panel where you can easily tweak most things to your liking.

    It’s hard to imagine a more customizable theme.

    Seems to work well on smaller mobile devices too so that’s a plus.

    I decided to create my own blog (Do Expert) and was looking for a good theme to use. I spent three days looking at various options (must have looked at demos of 100+ themes and actually tried 10+ themes) but I finally decided to go with Tempera just because it covered all the requirements. It has customization features that are generally provided by premium templates.

    Hi WordPress Community,

    Can someone kindly help advice me. I have created a header banner 1150 x 100 pixels for my website http://www.goodclasshomes.com

    I am using Tempera template.

    On the computer the image displays nicely. But when I check on my Samsung handphone, the header is distorted. It stretches to become a bigger size.

    What do I need to do to ensure it stays the same?

    Appreciate your advice.
