As a long time blogger but not a programmer or coder I found this theme to be easy to use and it does what you expect it to do.
I converted 4 sites I manage to GeneratPress in a short time. I had one issue I couldn’t figure out how to do, so I asked a question in the Fourm and within an hour or so I got a response that led me to the answer. I used a “Hook” for the very first time and it worked perfectly.

I’d highly recommend this theme. The free version is good but the Premium version with a one-time cost of 39.95 for unlimited sites is a no-brainer. It gives you a lot of options to let you fine-tune your site. Then being able to instantly see the changes in the Customizer lets you make adjustments until you get your site just right.

Wish I’d seen this theme years ago!

I have been using GeneratePress (the premium version) for some time now as simple starting point for all my web builds. As someone who creates a ton of websites, at first, this starter theme seemed a little plain when compared to other popular premium choices like Divi, Flatsome, X Theme, etc. However, once you start hitting brick walls with those other ones with messy code overrides, impassable restrictions, and perplexing design layout rigidity, you quickly find that GeneratePress has none of these limitations. Also, come on, the price!? It’s a friggin’ steal at $40 for the Premium version which adds just enough extra versatility to the base version. Really, just get it.

It is well-coded, lightweight, and allows you to manipulate the layout of you pages in almost any combination possible. If you don’t have any coding experience, you might find it lacking a bit of glam, but you can easily substitute that with a visual editor like Visual Composer or (my recommendation) Beaver Builder. If you’re a developer, well, you’ll obviously love it when you see how much care is placed in the code.

Really. Do not look further. You found your theme, promised.
(I can’t tell it is the best theme, because I did not try all the others…)

But why you should stop reading now and give GP a try?

1. The theme
Clean code, well structured, light and fast. Really responsive, works on all devices.

2. Is for the beginner
You can really easy customize a lot of things in the free version.
Not enough stuff to customize?
Just spend 35$ and buy the GP Premium suite.
It is a worth every penny, I swear.

3. And for the advanced user
You never get stuck. Inject your code everywhere on the page through GP Hooks.

Tom Usborne (the developer) never leaves you alone.
Just throw your questions in the support forum and wait a little…

tl;dr

With the Premium plugins (well worth buying) I can do more with this theme than any other of have tried.
The support is great. There is a large database of answers to most questions already and new support requests are answered quickly.
