I don’t know about the Free version but just make the purchase — snag GP Premium, it’ll most likely be the last theme you ever purchase.

The lead developer Tom is a beast. His organization is no joke and delivers Made in USA high-quality results… I think the dude is from Canada too!

It’s true, WordPress has 10s of thousands of themes, but 96% of all themes are trash, poorly coded and not well supported / documented. Not GeneratePress…this theme is a monstar!

Generatepress

An excellent theme that uses the WP Customizer to great effect. The free version is good but the premium version is reasonably priced and provides a boatload of options for customization. The premium version coupled with their child theme gives you the ability to tweak many options visually via the customizer and make other adjustments in functions.php and style.css. The author is responsive to support requests and his site has a solid knowledge base. $40 is a bargain for all this. Great job!

Generate Press is the most flexible multi-purpose theme ever!

I’ve used Headway and another layout builder theme but Generate Press wins the top prize for the most flexible and easy to use.

The free version comes loaded with options.

I am using the premium version which offers so many customization options that it can really help to create an unlimited number of layout possibilities. I am using the Elementor Page builder Plugin with Generate Press and these two have helped me do things which have surprised me.

I love using Generate Press and Elementor.

The support staff and members are very helpful. This has been instrumental to me in getting the best out of the theme.

Thanks for everyone behind Generate Press. You’re doing a great job!

The GP theme has been the very best theme I’ve found yet after searching for over two years: It is complete, but lean and clean. It works well with mobile.

The various speed tests indicate that it is also a very fast theme, with excellent ratings across the board.

I was trying to get my sites more mobile friendly and having a dismal time of it until a plugins vendor suggested it. After all the drama, I went through and thoroughly tested it against about a dozen different themes and frameworks (including premium ones). Over and over again, something would break and there would have to be a lot of working around the problems. GP and the premium plugin ended the drama once and for all.

This is highly recommended. If you are tired of buying, testing and continually revamping your WordPress websites because the themes and plugins don’t measure up, give this one a try: Set it up, test it, run the various speed tests. You will likely verify how good GP is and perhaps the drama will also end for you.

I have been using GeneratePress Premium for a couple of months on client sites and for me it replaces all other themes. It can be tweaked to conform to any required layout either through easy Customizer settings or the addition of site-wide or page-specific CSS using designer Tom Usborne’s Simple CSS plugin. The theme is very lightweight and the support is fantastic when you can’t quite figure out how to achieve the effect you want.

GeneratePress Premium is worth so much more than the small sum it costs.

GeneratePress is a great theme straight out of the box. Lightweight with no bloated code to be found and fully complying to the WordPress coding-standard for WP Themes.

There are lot’s of hooks to add stuff, side-bars left and right, up and down and sideways (which is great if you are a widget junky like me!) and did I already mention the fact that GeneratePress is fast and supports WooCommerce, BBpress and BuddyPress straight out of the box?!

To compliment, and extend, the free GeneratePress theme I also bought a license for the GeneratePress add-ons/plugins (GP Premium). This added even more functionality to a allready great theme.*

Combine these facts with a active developer that glued his offspring against his chest, so he can answer your support questions 24/7/365 on the GP support forum, and one really starts to wonder how all of this is possible for the amount a yearly GP Premium licence costs.

A Highly recommended theme with a great set of plugins/add-ons. A no-brainer for me and hopefully for you, the reader, too!

* After installing the GP premium plugins/add-ons and playing around with them, I am still recovering from the cognitive overload caused by the seemingly endless options and possibilities that where added by GP Premium.

GeneratePress is the best theme I have ever used! Premium is the way to go, so pay for the full theme and conquer WP. I love this theme so much.

Also, their support is incredible. Tom and Leo and the rest of his team are the most responsive group I’ve ever encountered.

I know this sounds like a review from the theme developers themselves, but for real its not. I’m a side project web designer from Oregon and I have been able to do so much more with my work than I thought possible with their theme and help.

Get the Premium version – don’t even think twice about it!

You will need to be proficient with CSS if you want to make the most out of GeneratePress however. But if you are not – this is the best platform to learn and expand your CSS knowledge with.

Team GeneratePress up with Tom’s other awesome plugin ‘Simple CSS’ for some serious power!

Oh and support – Tom’s support of GeneratePress is second to none.
He is always at hand to help with those quirky CSS tricks!

5 stars?? nah – One million stars!

Fast and efficient to use, both with or without a page builder plugin. And, it only improves over time! The developer is personable and lightning fast to respond to support queries. Initially free, a small fee gets you extended capabilities and can be used on unlimited sites. Lots of good things to say about this, but just get and see for yourself.
