Flat Responsive

I have been using Flat-Responsive for some time and have had several questions regarding setup and creating a specific look for my website. I have had great success with the responsiveness of the theme author. I have no complaints at all with this theme- its upgrades, the authors, and any of its features are first rate. I have used this theme, modified it, and it works great. When I have a question, I ask and get a quick response that fixes what I need.

I downloaded Flat-Responsive and I was enjoying working with it.
Then I updated this theme and now I have material that I did not want.
I have a nag to upgrade to Pro. Plus information about the bottoms.
I did not have this before. I will be giving this theme a low rating on account of this.
If you offer a free version, you should not cripple it or do anything to at least create the need to upgrade and pay you.

I will be taking this theme off and deleting all it’s files.

I plan on using Avada. I have had great success with this theme and they do not hid the fact of purchasing it.

The appearance is Great, but i noticed that i cannot change the homepage images and text on the Theme.
No feature for uploading Logo or updating Homepage features.

This theme has links to malicious websites (through Documentation link). Don’t use. May have been hacked.

Misleading information in support regarding colors, for example. Most of the options shown are not available in the free version. The support website is quite poor too… just to mention one example, it says: go to appearance>background… there is no appearance>background.

Doesnt say anywhere how to get rid of the banner image. Not in the “default content setting” hide option…

What a mess. This theme use to be good. Now it´s … better not say.
Please do something, aesthetically is great and it´s got a great potential, but if the intention of taking away most of the customizing options is for people to purchase the premium theme, dont think this is the best way around it.

Sorry, the latest version is broken and there has been no response from the developer. I’ve had to install Twenty Thirteen on the site because it is so bad. Very disappointing.

Seems to me that this theme is unfinished at best. For the most part it works just fine out of the box if you have a white themed site. If you have a dark themed site, not so much. There is no css in the style.css file for certain areas that should be easily changed in the css IMO. Such as changing the mobile menu top to a color to match your theme if its not white. Plus there are numerous other css codes scattered about sporadically that really should have found a home in the main style.css. Also there is a bug in the top header image area where it does not resize properly on the mobile portion of the theme. The developer states that they fixed it, but they have not as it still does not work right on my and many others who have posted in the support area even after the supposed fix.

So I’ve rated it a 3 because it does work, but just know that there are bugs if you plan on having a dark theme and the developer was not much help at all. They never answered any of my threads in the support area.

This theme is clean and easy to work with. It also gives many options to personalize for free. I would recommend this theme to anyone thinking of creating a WordPress site.

This theme is shaping up to be my go-to template to build on. Great built in customization options and simple design.
