Make

I’ve been using Make extensively over the last couple of months. It’s a fantastic theme for quickly prototyping layouts (lazy developer checking in, wassup?) or building simple sites for side projects.

The semantic markup and clean CSS makes it very easy to tweak with nothing more than a Custom CSS plugin.

Caveats: I’d like to see more documentation for building child themes. I’m having trouble finding any docs around hooks and filters for Make.

The img header is way too big for me !

This theme is good as is, but I thought what the hell, ill upgrade. Upgrading will be much better right? WRONG.

Upgrading to the pro version gives you a couple of lines of code.

I feel completely cheated!!!! Its way over priced for what you get. I could have made these customizations in less than 30 minutes.

Fabulous theme, very strong on aesthetics, functionality and versatility even with the free download (page options, layouts, Google fonts, galleries, columns, and more), and if you upgrade to Make Plus, which is a paid plugin, via the Theme Foundry, you get extra options (more page individualisation, forum support, widgets built into pages, & more). Free theme comes with Google fonts built into the customiser, Plus includes Typekit as well. Child theme provided.
The Theme Foundry folks also really friendly.

This theme is beyond what you think you will find in a free theme! The only thing I’m missing is a bigger header “photo-area”. Would love the possibility to have a photo in like 1050×500 px or something like that as a backgrund in the header. But that is my only but to this theme! Beside that I really love – and when I find a great photo or get a logo made I will use this theme – in like forever

This is a groundbreaker in the WordPress theme market. I’m still in absolute shock that it’s available 100% for free.

This theme is so much more than a theme. It is a fully integrated page-building solution. It’s the first theme (or plugin) I’ve used that really does a good job of easily creating complex page layouts. For people who do client sites, it’s what WordPress has been sorely needing for years.

This theme is for you if:

— You ever wanted to build complex layouts in your theme’s pages, but don’t want to, or can’t, do it in code.

— You find it difficult to hand off sites to clients because they can’t manage the custom HTML you’ve written

— Want to easily use Google fonts in your theme (they’re all ready to use here)

— You’ve used smart page-building systems like Squarespace has and thought, “ARRGG WordPress needs this!!”

— Want a fully capable theme customizer that will let you visually adjust almost anything you can think of on the front end of your site.

You need to download and try out this theme. It could very well change the way you develop sites.

Bin schon lange Fan von TheThemeFoundry… Sie haben Themes die einfach, aufgeräumt und professionell gemacht sind. Mit Make ist man noch zusätzlich sehr flexibel. Ich habe mir das Make Plus gekauft und bin gespannt auf die Zusatzfeatures.
