I started with the free theme to test things out and as another reviewer noted, the demo importer is key to best utilize the theme. I was doing some CSS edits in a child theme and ran into some roadblocks. The forums have a lot of topics and searching doesn’t necessarily surface what you’re looking for right away. Don’t be afraid to start a topic in the forums. They responded with a suggestion (that worked) within a reasonable amount of time considering we’re in different countries…and I’m on my way again. Great theme and really easy to customize. Thanks, Themegrill!

    After playing around with the theme, I realized it could do everything I wanted. Any customizations I wanted to make were easy to do through a dedicated ‘custom css’ box in the theme options. Importantly to me, this theme made bbPress and buddyPress look good (so many themes don’t support these plugins).

    Although I didn’t need the extra functionality, I decided to upgrade to the Pro version to show my appreciation for the effort and great work the authors have put into this theme.

    It is well supported and the authors are accessible and very helpful.

    The theme is pretty good. But…

    Renaming functions without actually testing of what could happen if someone was using the old name of the function is a bit irresponsible. Having tickets for more than a week on the issue that leads to sites with child themes being down (error 500 on any front-end page) is actually a serious issue.
